  • Complaints can be lodged only against employees of SEBI.
  • The complainants should lodge complaints only regarding issues having vigilance angle and which are not part of any litigation in any courts, tribunals, etc., i.e. the matter should not be sub-judice.

  • Complaints pertaining to registered intermediaries or listed companies etc. which are purely grievance against them and without any vigilance angle will not be entertained. Such complaints may be lodged on SEBI's dedicated complaint redressal portal at
  • Complaints must be brief and contain factual details, verifiable facts, and related documents. They should not be vague or contain sweeping general allegations.
  • The complaint having administrative issues will be forwarded to concerned department for necessary action.
  • Correct name and address of the complainant are mandatory for processing of complaint.
  • Action could be taken against persons making false complains as per CVC Guidelines.
  • Anonymous/Pseudonymous complaint will not be entertained.
  • For registering a complaint, mobile no. is required to receive OTP.
